Curious about how are the Fargo All City Hockey
teams formed?
That depends on what level your child is in.
Most of the information on how FACYH teams are formed can be found
in the handbook. Each family was given a handbook at registration.
The handbook is also found on the FACYH website.
The goal of FACYH is to create as much parity
as possible with all of our teams. The best way to achieve an even
talent distribution is to assess each player at camp. Coordinators/Coaches will be doing
this by timing each player at several drills and observing players
throughout camp. At the end of camp, the coaches and the
coordinators will review the player assessment and rank each player
based on their performance in the timing drills and coaches
observation.
Draft:
Mite travel, 10U, 12U and 16U teams are organized by a draft to
create the greatest possible parity. Players will be drafted for
each team based on the number of teams, the ranking of the
players as determine by the coaches and, when possible, parent
requests concerning location, carpooling and such will be taken
considered within the guidelines of parity. FACYH will ensure that
siblings are on the same team in the
drafting process.
