FACYH History

In order to offer a quality hockey program with various levels of play while giving all children the opportunity to participate in youth hockey in our community, a group called the Fargo All City Youth Hockey League was formed in 2001. At its inception, the League included representatives from the Fargo Flyers, Girls’ Hockey, Fargo Park District, Fargo Patriots and Fargo Raiders, as well as at large representatives. All organizations then represented on the All-City League voted to support this united hockey league. Subsequently, representatives from the Fargo/West Fargo Girls Hockey Boosters and the Fargo Angels (Fargo Catholic Schools Network-FCSN) have been added.

The goal of the group is to continue to improve the quality of termite, mite and girls youth hockey in Fargo by placing greater emphasis on coaching skills and teaching fundamentals at various levels of participation in a safe and fun environment. Sportsmanship, camaraderie, competitiveness and the joy of hockey will guide the policies and decisions of the FACYH.

A shared vision of the board of FACYH is that if unity at the younger levels is possible and can improve the quality of hockey in our community, perhaps one day our various hockey organizations can unite at all hockey levels, thereby combining all of the hockey resources in our community and expanding opportunities in hockey for all participants, regardless of ability.

FACYH Logo and Colors

The flames on the FACYH logo represents the Fargo 1893 fire that devastated most of the city, but also was a catalyst in a renewal for the city as it was rebuilt.  The colors represent a way to reflect the all city nature of our organization.  Colors of each of the high schools are reflected in the travel team's home and away jerseys.
